Sam Stookesberry, founder and principal consultant, built Highline Strategic Communications after more than 13 years of tackling the types of communication challenges others shy away from.

Sam has worked at the highest levels of politics, business, nonprofits and education—including on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on statewide campaigns, for one of the nation's largest K-12 education providers and at the preeminent public affairs and communications firm in the Mountain West.

Sam has led teams addressing high-stakes issues ranging from domestic nuclear fuel production and a United Nations climate summit to the launch of passenger rail construction along the Front Range and a $100 million water rights purchase on the Colorado River.

Sam has guided organizations through a broad array of crises, including food safety issues, litigation, executive misconduct, new federal regulations and Indigenous and environmental concerns.
